In 2015 we purchased 3 shower baths and several marble washstand basins from a grand house in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
The house formerly belonged to the Indian shipping magnate Sir Dhunjibhoy and his wife Lady Bomanji, who were acquaintances of Queen Elizabeth II.
After the death of Lady Bomanji in 1986 the house was left abandoned, resulting in it being boarded up from the public. Alongside baths and basins a variety of personal belongings including jewellery, clothing and children's dolls were left sealed within its walls.
30 years later the house along with its contents were sold at auction in 2013 to Jason Shaw, a Harrogate businessman, who later converted the 40-bedroom mansion into luxury apartments.
Many newspaper articles covered the story of Pine Heath House, such as The Daily Mail, The Mirror and The Daily Star who described it as a "time capsule" and "caught in a time warp"
